Ūi-tio̍h beh î-chhî chiàn-sî tō-tek, Ji̍t-pún ê tong-kio̍k-chiá ū chó͘-chit chi̍t ê phó͘-piàn-tek ê “cheng-sîn chōng-tōng-oân ūn-tōng.” Ūi-tio̍h beh chhiok-chìn ài-kok-sim tī Tâi-oân lâng ê tiong-kan, in só͘ ēng kòe ê hong-hoat ê chi̍t hāng, chiū-sī phòe-hoat sîn-kham (kamidana) tī kok ka-têng-ni̍h. Hit ê lūn-tiám, sī kóng chit khoán ê sîn-kham sī kap kok-kî kāng khoán, pîⁿ-pîⁿ sī chi̍t chióng ài-kok-sim ê piáu-hiān. Si̍t-chāi lâi kóng, Chit khoán thang gī-lūn ê si̍p-sio̍k, í-keng ū jiá-khí siong-tong ê pháiⁿ kám-chêng; iā kéng-chhat chai-iáⁿ chit ê sî-chūn sī tio̍h ēng “nńg-ap” ê sî-chūn. Hiah ê ū Sèng-keng ê lâng sui-jiân ū kū-choa̍t, m̄-goān pōe-kàu, iáu-kú tû-khí in ê léng-siù Lô͘-ui chi̍t lâng siū koaiⁿ í-gōa, lóng siū tháu-pàng tńg-khì soaⁿ-ni̍h. Tû-khí chiong Ki-tok-kàu thoân-pò tī ko-san-cho̍k í-gōa, kéng-chhat ū kò i mō͘-to̍k sîn-kham, chiū-sī phòe-tì tī i ê ke-ni̍h ê. I tùi hit ê sîn-kham bô piáu kèng-ì, ia̍h bô kā i pài; i khak-si̍t ū ēng i lâi chò chi̍t kha siuⁿ-á teh té phoe! Lô͘-ui ê siū-lia̍h kap siū koaiⁿ ê sū, ū jiá-khí bōe kàu lōa sió ê jiáu-tōng. Tè i ê lâng ū chi̍t tōa tīn khì kéng-chhat-só͘, tōa hoat phî-khì kóng, “Lô͘-ui nā-sī ūi-tio̍h chò Ki-tok-tô͘ ê sū lâi siū koaiⁿ, goán tāi-ke ia̍h lóng sī Ki-tok-tô͘. Taⁿ tio̍h cháiⁿ-iūⁿ?” Chóng-sī kéng-chhat kū-choa̍t, m̄ ài kap in piān-lūn, ia̍h kín-sīn m̄-ài chiong sū bú-lōng khah tōa. Hiah ê有聖經ê人雖然有拒絕,m̄ 願背教,iáu-kú除去in ê領袖Lô͘-ui一人受關以外,攏受tháu放轉去山--ni̍h。除去將基督教傳播tī高山族以外,警察有告伊冒瀆神龕,就是配置tī 伊ê 家--ni̍h-ê。伊對hit ê神龕無表敬意,亦無kā伊拜;伊確實有用伊來做一kha箱仔teh té批!Lô͘-ui ê受掠kap受關ê事,有惹起bōe到偌小ê擾動。Tè伊ê 人有一大陣去警察所,大發脾氣講:「Lô͘-ui若是為著做基督徒ê事來受關,阮逐家亦攏是基督徒。今著怎樣?」總--是警察拒絕,m̄ ài kap in辯論,亦謹慎 m̄ ài將事舞弄較大。

Nā ū iáⁿ án-ni lâi kóng, chit phiⁿ ê tê-sû ōaⁿ chò “Sit-chì ê Lô͘-ui,” á-sī “Sit-pāi-chiá Lô͘-ui.” Chóng-sī sū-si̍t i bô án-ni! Sui-jiân tī kaⁿ-ni̍h, i ia̍h sī thun-lún, kah ná chhin-chhiūⁿ teh khòaⁿ hit ūi bô khòaⁿ-kìⁿ ê Siōng-tè. Lô͘-ui有用thang o-ló ê殷勤kap敏捷來完成hit ê「上等上ê工。」伊有tī hit ê險要ê地點放火燒山坪,迅速koh敏捷,也這陣伊有將火把交過別人ê手,thang來完成這個工;因為上帝tī伊bōe測度得ê智慧--ni̍h,有hō͘ 伊所揀選這個器具受著一chām關監ê艱苦。試想這位giám-ngī ê高山住民,tī伊心--ni̍h有山場ê召命,也受勉強來枉費7年久ê光陰,tī日本ê監獄--ni̍h!伊kiám有親像受掠ê鷹鳥,抑是甚mi̍h野鳥為著beh chông 出--去,thí 開伊ê 翼來phia̍t hit ê鳥籠--mah?若有影án-ni來講,這篇ê題辭著換做「失志ê Lô͘-ui」抑是「失敗者Lô͘-ui」。總--是事實伊無án-ni!雖然tī 監--ni̍h,伊亦是吞忍,kah那親像teh看hit位無看見ê上帝。
Siōng-tè bô pàng-sak i, I bô bōe kì-tit Lô͘-ui, ia̍h bô bōe kì-tit i ê tông-pau, chiū-sī tī soaⁿ-kan ūi-tio̍h sìn-gióng teh siū pek-hāi ê. Siōng-tè tī hó ê sî-ki chhoah-tn̄g pa̍k in ê soh. 1945 nî Ji̍t-pún tâu-hâng ê sî, Lô͘-ui siū tháu-pàng tńg-khì tang hái-hōaⁿ lâi ho̍k-tò i thoân hok-im ê kang. I ū khòaⁿ-tio̍h tī i bô tī-teh ê tiong-kan chi̍t-chng kòe chi̍t chng ê ko-san-cho̍k í-keng pìⁿ-chiâⁿ chò Ki-tok-tô͘ lah. Taⁿ in m̄-bián koh tī pì-bi̍t tiong lâi chū-hōe, in kong-jiân kò-pe̍h sìn-gióng, ia̍h khí tek ê pài-tn̂g lâi ho̍k-sāi to̍k-it chin ê Siōng-tè. I hoaⁿ-hí khòaⁿ Siōng-tè cháiⁿ-iūⁿ chín-kiù I ê peh-sìⁿ thoat-chhut o͘-àm ê koân-sè, lâi ji̍p tī I thiàⁿ kiáⁿ ê kok. Siōng-tè ê ōe bô lo̍k-khong. Tōa-soaⁿ kap sió-soaⁿ í-keng khui chhùi teh chhiùⁿ-koa. 上帝無放sak 伊,伊無bōe記得Lô͘-ui,亦無bōe記得伊ê 同胞,就是tī 山間為著信仰teh受迫害--ê。上帝tī 好ê時機chhoah斷縛in ê索。1945年日本投降ê 時,Lô͘-ui受tháu放轉去東海岸來復tò 伊傳福音ê工。伊有看著tī伊無tī--teh ê中間一庄過一庄ê高山族已經變成做基督徒--lah。今in m̄ 免koh tī祕密中來聚會,in公然告白信仰,亦起竹ê拜堂來服事獨一真ê上帝。伊歡喜看上帝怎樣拯救伊ê 百姓脫出烏暗ê權勢,來入tī伊疼子ê國。上帝ê話無落空。大山kap小山已經開嘴teh唱歌。
1946 nî ê chhun-thiⁿ, soan-kàu-su siū ún-chún tńg-lâi kàu Tâi-oân. Sun Sian-siⁿ chīn-liōng kóaⁿ-kín khí-sin khì tang hái-hōaⁿ lâi khòaⁿ hiah ê ko-san-cho̍k tàu-tí án-chóaⁿ kòe-ji̍t, (in-ūi chiàn-cheng tiong in bô chiap-tio̍h Tâi-oân ê siau-sit. I siông-siông teh sàm-su kóng, “Taⁿ hiah ê pì-bi̍t siū kàm-sī ê lâng m̄-chai án-chóaⁿ?” I ia̍h siông-siông thòe in kî-tó, kiû Siōng-tè nā ōe chòe--tit, tio̍h tī kéng-chhat bû-tō ê ap-pek hā jiâu-lâu in ê sìⁿ-miā kàu kin-á-ji̍t). Keng-kè chi̍t ji̍t thiám-thiám ê lō͘-chām, i tī pòaⁿ-mî nn̄g tiám kàu Hoe-liân-káng, í-keng chia̍h chi̍t óaⁿ pn̄g, chiū khì khùn. Khùn kàu la̍k tiám ê sî, Lô͘-ui ū lâi kiò-chhíⁿ i ê bîn. Che chāi Sun Sian-siⁿ ê li̍p-tiûⁿ lâi kóng, sī chi̍t kiāⁿ oân-choân bô phài-phe ê gông-ngia̍h í-ki̍p thang hoaⁿ-hí ê sū. 1946年ê春天,宣教師受允准轉來到台灣。孫先生盡量趕緊起身去東海岸來看hiah ê高山族到底án-chóaⁿ 過日,(因為戰爭中in無接著台灣ê消息。伊常常teh三思講:「今hiah ê祕密受監視ê人 m̄ 知án-chóaⁿ?」伊亦常常替in祈禱,求上帝若會做--tit,著tī警察無道ê壓迫下饒留in ê生命到今仔日)。經過一日thiám-thiám ê路站,伊tī半暝兩點到花蓮港,已經食一碗飯,就去睏。睏到六點ê 時,Lô͘-ui有來叫醒伊ê 眠。Che在孫先生ê立場來講,是一件完全無phài-phe ê gông-ngia̍h以及thang歡喜ê事。
Sun Sian-siⁿ siá kóng, “Góa ōe thang koh kìⁿ-tio̍h i ê bīn sī hēng-hok,” koh ke-thiⁿ chi̍t kù kóng, “I hiān-sî choan-sim teh chò kàu-hōe ê kang, teh ín-chhōa káng chheng ê tông-pau lâi kui Ki-tok.” Lán bōe-tit-thang hiâm i kóng liáu khah kòe-thâu. 孫先生寫講:「我會thang koh見著伊ê 面是幸福,」koh加添一句講:「伊現時專心teh做教會ê工,teh引chhōa káng千個同胞來歸基督。」咱bōe 得thang嫌伊講了較過頭。
Úi-lân ê kiàn-chèng Úi-lân ê見證
Úi-lân chiū-sī Thài-iâ-cho̍k tiong kia̍t-chhut ê jîn-bu̍t. I khiā-khí tī Eng-hoa chhoan. Eng-hoa chhoan sī tī Lêng-ko soaⁿ-kok koh khí-khì ê só͘-chāi, lī Hoe-liân-káng sió-khóa ū hiah hn̄g. I tī 1938 nî tùi Chi-oáng thiaⁿ-tio̍h tō-lí, chiū tī hit siā-ni̍h chiâⁿ-chò thâu chi̍t ê Ki-tok-tô͘. I chiū liâm-piⁿ tùi i ê chhin-chhek kap pêng-iú siⁿ-khí koan-sim, chiū khoàn-iú chi̍t thoân ê lâng chèng-sek kap i chòe tīn khì Ka-lé-oan Chi-oáng hia (saⁿ-lī 15 eng-lí). In tī hia tùi Sèng-keng ū tit-tio̍h ke chìn chi̍t pō͘ ê kà-sī. 1941 nî 4 ge̍h, ū chi̍t mî-hng tng in chū-chi̍p tī hia teh gián-kiù Sèng-keng ê sî, kéng-chhat hut-jiân-kan ji̍p-lâi hit keng chhù, chiong chhut-se̍k ê lâng-miâ lóng chò chi̍t-ē kì-kì khì. Kúi-ji̍t āu, in chiū hō͘ in tiàu khì kéng-chhat-só͘ siū sím-mn̄g. Kéng-chhat ū phah lâi sím-mn̄g in, lêng-tī in, chiau-that in, hì-lāng in, ia̍h kah in tio̍h gîm-si hō͘ in thiaⁿ, chòe-āu Úi-lân chi̍t lâng ū siū phah kàu thiám-thiám. Tùi hit tia̍p í-āu, kéng-chhat tùi hiah ê ko-san-cho̍k ê sìn-tô͘ sū-sū to m̄ hoaⁿ-hí. Úi-lân kap tòa tī Eng-hoa chhoan ê thoân-thé tio̍h kàu pòaⁿ-nî āu chiah káⁿ khui pì-bi̍t ê chi̍p-hōe. Che sī beh siám-pī cheng-thàm, kiaⁿ-liáu hō͘ in khòaⁿ--tio̍h chiū beh cháu-khì pò. Úi-lân就是泰雅族中傑出ê人物。伊企起tī 櫻花村。櫻花村是tī能高山谷koh起去ê所在,離花蓮港小可有--hiah-遠。伊tī 1938年tùi Chi-oáng聽著道理,就tī hit社--ni̍h成做頭一個基督徒。伊就liâm-piⁿ對伊ê 親戚kap朋友生起關心,就勸誘一團ê人正式kap伊做陣去加禮宛Chi-oáng hia(相離15英里)。In tī hia tùi聖經得著加進一步ê教示。1941年4月,有一暝昏當in聚集tī hia teh研究聖經ê 時,警察忽然間入來hit 間厝,將出席ê人名攏做一下記記去。幾日後,in就hō͘ in 召去警察所受審問。警察有扑來審問in、凌治in、蹧躂in、戲弄in,亦教in著吟詩hō͘ in聽,最後Úi-lân一人有受扑到thiám-thiám。Tùi hit-tia̍p 以後,警察對hiah ê高山族ê信徒事事都m̄歡喜。Úi-lân kap tòa tī櫻花村ê團體著到半年後才敢開祕密ê集會。Che是beh閃避偵探,驚了hō͘ in看--著就beh走去報。
1943 nî, ū chi̍t mî-hng, kéng-chhat chiap-tio̍h in teh chū-hōe ê siau-sit, chiū chhim-ji̍p in ê hōe-tiûⁿ, lâi bu̍t-siu in lóng-chóng ê Sèng-keng. Keh tńg-ji̍t hiah ê chham-ka chū-hōe ê lóng tiàu khì Hoe-liân-káng kéng-chhat-kio̍k, tī hia tùi Iú-tiân (Tomoda) hù chú-jīm siū-tio̍h chi̍t tiûⁿ chin khok-hêng ê sím-mn̄g. Hit lâng mē in kóng, in pài “Bí-kok lâng ê Siōng-tè.” Hit tia̍p í-āu ūi-tio̍h beh kiám-chió siū cheng-thàm ê gûi-hiám, Eng-hoa chhoan ê Ki-tok-tô͘ chiū chiong in ê chū-hōe hun chò saⁿ ê thoân-thé. Sui-jiân siū-tio̍h kéng-chhat chin kek-lia̍t ê ap-chè, in ê lâng-gia̍h ia̍h sī goân-chāi teh ke-thiⁿ. Ūi-tio̍h beh siám-pī lâng ê giâu-gî, in tī lé-pài-ji̍t chhēng kang-chok-ho̍k (chò kang teh chhēng ê saⁿ) chhut-khì. Kéng-chhat sī siūⁿ kóng, in káⁿ beh khì hn̂g-ni̍h chò kang, nā-sī sū-si̍t in sī beh khì soaⁿ-ni̍h chò-hóe lé-pài. 1943年,有一暝昏,警察接著in teh聚會ê消息,就深入in ê會場,來沒收in攏總ê聖經。隔轉日hiah ê參加聚會--ê攏召去花蓮港警察局,tī hia tùi 友田(Tomoda)副主任受著一場真酷刑ê審問。Hit人罵in講:「In拜美國人ê上帝。」Hit tia̍p以後為著beh減少受偵探ê危險,櫻花村ê基督徒就將in ê聚會分做3個團體。雖然受著警察真激烈ê壓制,in ê人額亦是原在teh加添。為著beh閃避人ê giâu疑,in tī 禮拜日穿工作服(做工teh穿ê衫)出去。警察是想講:「In káⁿ beh去園--ni̍h做工」,但是事實in 是beh去山--ni̍h做伙禮拜。
Sio-siāng hit nî, Úi-lân ū koh chi̍t pái siū tiàu kàu kéng-chhat ê bīn-chêng, siū kò-sò͘, kóng i ū soan-thoân ok-sèng ê ōe. Ū lâng kan-chèng i, kóng i bat kóng-khí Ji̍p-pún beh thâi su Bí-kok, ia̍h Tâi-oân ê Ki-tok-tô͘ beh siū kái-hòng. Ūi-tio̍h beh kiông-pek i lâi chiàu-si̍t kóng, hit mî-hng ū nn̄g ê kéng-chhat phah Úi-lân, phah kàu sí-sí hūn-hūn--khì. In thêng chhiú hioh-khùn chi̍t tiap-á-kú, hit ê kiò-chò Chubaki ê kéng-tiúⁿ chiū mn̄g i, khòaⁿ i beh pōe-kàu á m̄; nā-sī Úi-lân kū-choa̍t kóng, i bōe-tit-thang pàng-sak hok-im. Kéng-chhat chiū kòng i ê thâu-khak, hō͘ i hūn--lo̍h-khì. In lia̍h chò i káⁿ í-keng hō͘ in phah-sí, chiū kā i hiat-ka̍k tī kéng-chhat-só͘ gōa. Ū chi̍t ūi Eng-hoa chhoan ê chheng-liân sìn-tô͘ chiong i āiⁿ tńg-khì in tau. I tī chhù-ni̍h nn̄g-ji̍t kú tó-teh, lóng m̄-chai lâng; i ê ka cho̍k jia̍t-chhiat thòe i kî-tó, ǹg-bāng i ōe koh hôe hûn. Tī tē-saⁿ ji̍t, i chiū peh khí-lâi. Tú-chiah kám-kak ōe koh khí-lâi kiâⁿ nā-tiāⁿ, chiū kè-e̍k beh khì Hoe-liân-káng kàu-hōe, chóng-sī tī lō͘-ni̍h ū hō͘ kéng-chhat kiò ji̍p-khì kéng-chhat-só͘. Chit hôe kéng-tiúⁿ kā i kóng, in bô àn-sǹg beh phah i, chóng-sī ū chi̍t hāng, ài i tio̍h kóaⁿ-kín kā in kóng, chiū-sī Bí-kok sī án-chóaⁿ teh kè-e̍k beh tī Tâi-oân siōng-lio̍k, sòa kái-hòng Ki-tok-tô͘ ê sū. Úi-lân kā i kóng, i m̄ chai-iáⁿ chit chân sū, kéng-chhat chiū ìn kóng, “Hó! hó! beh chi̍t lé-pài kú hō͘ lí bô khùn pòaⁿ-tiám bîn.” 相像hit年,Úi-lân有koh一擺受召到警察ê面前,是告訴,講伊有宣傳惡性ê話。有人干證伊,講伊bat講起日本beh thâi輸美國,亦台灣ê基督徒beh受解放。為著beh強迫伊來照實講,hit暝昏有兩個警察扑Úi-lân,扑到死死暈暈--去。In停手歇睏一tiap仔久,hit ê叫做Chubaki ê警長就問伊,看伊beh背教抑m̄;但是Úi-lân拒絕講伊bōe-tit-thang 放sak 福音。警察就kòng伊ê 頭殼,hō͘ 伊暈--落去。In掠做伊káⁿ 已經hō͘ in扑--死,就kā伊hiat-ka̍k tī警察所外。有一位櫻花村ê青年信徒將伊āiⁿ 轉去in 兜。伊tī厝--ni̍h兩日久倒--teh,攏m̄ 知人;伊ê 家族熱切替伊祈禱,向望伊會koh回魂。Tī 第3日,伊就peh起來。Tú chiah感覺會koh起來行nā-tiāⁿ,就計劃beh去花蓮港教會,總--是tī 路--ni̍h有hō͘警察叫入去警察所。這回警長kā伊講,in無按算beh扑伊,總--是有一項,ài伊著趕緊kā in講,就是美國是án-chóaⁿ teh計劃beh tī 台灣上陸,續解放基督徒ê事。Úi-lân kā伊講,伊 m̄知影這層事,警察就應講:「好!好!beh一禮拜久hō͘ 你無睏半點眠。」
Úi-lân só͘ hoat-piáu koh sòa--lo̍h-khì ê ōe, chiū-sī i só͘ bat tú-tio̍h chòe thòng-khó͘ ê keng-giām. Kúi-nā ê chheng-liân, ta̍k mê-hng lâi kò͘-siú i, m̄-chún i khùn, ji̍t--sî tio̍h chò ngē-thâu ê kang, chiū-sī tī sîn-siā lāi ê tiâⁿ-ni̍h koah-chháu. Kàu-gia̍h ià-siān kòa thiám-thâu, kàu hit lé-pài ê bóe-ji̍t, i chiū khí cheng-sîn īⁿ-chōng. Ū chi̍t pái, tng cheng-sîn teh hoat-choh ê sî, tn̄g-tio̍h kéng-chhat, chiū iau-kiû in tio̍h the̍h Sèng-keng lâi hêng i; pàng-tiau kóng, nā m̄ the̍h lâi hêng, i beh chhūn-sí phah-sí chi̍t-pah lâng. Kéng-chhat chit pái khak-si̍t ū kiaⁿ--tio̍h. Ūi-tio̍h in chân-jím khoán-thāi i, tì-kàu hō͘ i pìⁿ-chiâⁿ chi̍t ê gûi-hiám ê siáu-lâng; in chiū chiong Sèng-keng the̍h lâi hêng i; ia̍h ēng hoat-tō͘ beh lâi tìn-chēng i hit tiám khì. Keng-kòe bōe lōa-kú, i ê cheng-sîn ū hôe-ho̍k, kú-tōng kap pêng-sî bô koh-iūⁿ. Chóng-sī ū-sî chiū koh khí, iā tùi ka-kī ê hêng-ûi sòa bōe-tit-thang hū chek-jīm. In-ūi kiaⁿ-kìⁿ i ōe siong-hāi lâng, á-sī pàng-hóe sio sîn-siā, kéng-chhat chiū ēng bo̍k-liāu chò chi̍t kha tōa-tōa kha ê lo̍k-tû hē tī in tau, kā i tû--khí-lâi. I siū koaiⁿ tī chit kha lo̍k-tû-ni̍h chi̍t nî kú! Sui-jiân hō͘ lâng khoán-thāi chò ná chhin-chhiūⁿ chi̍t chiah ê iá-siù, iáu-kú i ê cheng-eng ū chiām-chiām hôe-ho̍k, āu-lâi ū siū pàng chhut. Hit-tia̍p í-āu kéng-chhat tī chi̍t ê kî-kan ū pàng kù-chāi i ka-kī. Ūi-tio̍h i m̄-bat koh hián-chhut hiong-béng ê hêng-ûi, in chiū siūⁿ kóng i taⁿ pìⁿ-chiâⁿ chi̍t ê bōe siong-hāi lâng ê gōng-lâng, chiū-sī í-keng bô cheng-sîn ê lâng. Úi-lân所發表koh續--落去ê話,就是伊所bat tú著最痛苦ê經驗。幾若個青年,逐暝昏來固守--伊,m̄ 准伊睏,日--時著做ngē頭ê工,就是tī 神社內ê埕--ni̍h割草。夠額厭siān kòa thiám頭,到hit禮拜ê尾日,伊就起精神異狀。有一擺,當精神teh發作ê 時,tn̄g著警察,就要求in著提聖經來還伊;放tiau講:「若m̄ 提來還,伊beh chhûn 死扑死一百人。警察這擺確實有驚--著。為著in ê殘忍款待伊,致到hō͘伊變成一個危險ê少年;in就將聖經提來還伊;亦用法度beh來鎮靜伊hit點氣。經過bōe偌久,伊ê 精神有回復,舉動kap平時無各樣。總--是有時就koh起,也對家己ê行為續bōe-tit-thang負責任。因為驚見伊會傷害人,抑是放火燒神社,警察就用木料做一kha大大kha ê鹿櫥hē tī in兜,kā伊儲--起-來。伊受關tī 這kha 鹿櫥--ni̍h一年久!雖然hō͘人款待做那親像一隻ê野獸,iáu-kú伊ê 精英有漸漸回復,後--來有受放出。Hit-tia̍p以後警察tī一個期間有放據在伊家己。為著伊m̄-bat koh顯出凶猛ê行為,in就想講伊今變成一個bōe傷害人ê憨人,就是已經無精神ê人。
Nā-sī Úi-lân koat-toàn m̄-sī cheng-le̍k thoat-lo̍h ê lâng. I ê lí-sèng ū ho̍k-goân, tùi tī chēng-chēng su-hāu Chú, i ê cheng-sîn le̍k-liōng ū ōaⁿ-sin; Ki-tok ê thiàⁿ nôa-cha̍h i, Siōng-tè ê khùi-la̍t chi-chhî i, hō͘ i ōe thang koh chi̍t pái lâi kà-sī lâng kap thoân hok-im. I bô-lūn kàu sím-mi̍h só͘-chāi, hó-táⁿ ūi Ki-tok chò kiàn-chèng, tì-kàu i ê hoa̍t-tōng ū koh chi̍t pái lâi ín-khí kéng-chhat ê chù-bo̍k. Kéng-chhat teh giâu-gî, siūⁿ kóng káⁿ ū tām-po̍h ko-san-cho̍k ê lâng chhut-se̍k tī Hoe-liân-káng hàn-jîn ê kàu-hōe-ni̍h, chiū siūⁿ beh kā in thêng-chí. Kéng-chhat sui-jiân teh kéng-kò, i ia̍h sī chiap-sòa khì chhut-se̍k. Tī 1944 nî ê chi̍t ê lé-pài-ji̍t, i tī-hia hō͘ kéng-chhat lia̍h-tio̍h, siū ah-sàng tńg-khì Eng-hoa-chhoan ê kéng-chhat-só͘. 但是Úi-lân決斷 m̄ 是精力脫落ê人。伊ê 理性有復原,對tī 靜靜侍候主,伊ê 精神力量有換新;基督ê疼攔截伊,上帝ê氣力支持伊,hō͘ 伊會thang koh一擺來教示人kap傳福音。伊無論到甚mi̍h所在,好膽為基督做見證,致到伊ê 活動有koh一擺來引起警察ê注目。警察teh giâu疑,想講káⁿ 有淡薄高山族ê人出席tī 花蓮港漢人ê教會--ni̍h,就想beh kā in停止。警察雖然teh警告,伊亦是接續去出席。Tī 1944年ê一個禮拜日,伊tī-hia hō͘警察掠--著,受押送轉去櫻花村ê警察所。
Kéng-tiúⁿ kóng, “Lí iū-koh lâi lah, hó ah, lí kah m̄-thiaⁿ chhùi, ko͘-put-chiong tio̍h thâi lí.” I chiū kiò chi̍t ê pō͘-hā, kah i khì khui chi̍t ê bōng, kóng, “Chit hō kha-siàu tio̍h hō͘ i sí.” I hoah iáu chi̍t ê pō͘-hā, kóng, “To, kā góa gia̍h--lâi.” Hit lâng chiū khì gia̍h to chhut-lâi. Kéng-tiúⁿ chiū pui̍h8 to chhut siù, ia̍h hoah to-bah khòaⁿ ū lāi bô Che kiám-chhái sī chi̍t tiûⁿ ê khióng-hat, chóng-sī iā ū hāu-kó tī-teh. Úi-lân ka-kī ia̍h sìn chòe-āu ê sî-kan í-keng kàu lah. I chiū khòaⁿ hit ki to, iâ kám-kak khak-si̍t ōe siū thâi-sí. Kéng-tiúⁿ kóng, “Lí taⁿ bô sìⁿ-miā thang tńg-khì lah, lí nā ū sím-mi̍h ûi-giân beh kā lí ê hū-jîn-lâng kóng, chit-chūn kā góa kóng.” 警長講:「你又koh來--lah,好--ah,你教 m̄ 聽嘴,姑不chiong著thâi你。」伊就叫一個部下,教伊去開一個墓,講:「這號腳數著hō͘ 伊死。」伊喝iáu一個部下講:「刀,kā我gia̍h--來。」Hit人就去gia̍h刀出--來。警長就拔刀出siù,亦hoah刀肉看有利--無。Che kiám-chhái是一場ê恐嚇,總--是也有效果tī--teh。Úi-lân家己亦信最後ê時間已經到--lah。伊就看hit支刀,也感覺確實會受thâi死。警長講:「你今無生命thang轉--去-lah,你若有甚mi̍h遺言beh kā你ê 婦人人講,這陣kā我講。」
Úi-lân lóng bô ìn i chi̍t kù. Kéng-tiúⁿ chiū mn̄g i, khòaⁿ ūi-tio̍h sím-mi̍h iân-kò͘ sìn Ki-tok-kàu, sìn kàu chiah jīn-chin? Úi-lân táⁿ-sǹg beh tī chòe-āu ê sùn-kan ūi sìn-gióng chò kiàn-chèng, chiū ìn kóng, “Kìⁿ-nā sìn ê lâng beh tit-tio̍h éng-oán ê oa̍h-miā.” I chiū mn̄g i kóng, “Án-ni lí m̄ kak-gō͘ beh sí lah?” I chiū ēng chāi-ngó͘, bô têng-kù ê siaⁿ-tiāu in kóng, “Sī, góa kak-gō͘.” Hit-chūn ū chi̍t ê kéng-chhat oa̍t-tńg-sin, chhiⁿ-chhiⁿ cho̍h-cho̍h kā pa̍t ê kéng-chhat kóng, “Sìn-gióng sī sím-mi̍h? Bô chi̍t hāng ōe thang iô-tāng i.” Āu-lâi in chiū pàng i chhut--lâi, chún i tńg-khì. Úi-lân攏無應一句。警長就問伊,看為著甚mi̍h緣故信基督教,信到chiah認真?Úi-lân打算beh tī 最後ê瞬間為信仰做見證,就應講:「見若信ê人beh得著永遠ê活命。」伊就問伊講:「Án-ni你 m̄ 覺悟beh死--lah?」伊就用在伍 ,無停句ê聲調應講:「是,我覺悟。」Hit 陣有一個警察越轉身,chhiⁿ-chhiⁿcho̍h-cho̍h kā別ê警察講:「信仰是甚mi̍h?無一項會thang搖動伊。」後來in就放伊出--來,准伊轉去。
Úi-lân chiap-sòa koh tī soaⁿ-kan ê só͘-chāi khui pì-bi̍t ê chū-hōe. 1945 nî sì ge̍h ū chi̍t ji̍t, i siū tiàu khì kéng-chhat-só͘, kéng-chhat kā i kóng, Lô-su-hok Chóng-thóng í-keng sí, in siūⁿ beh saⁿ-kap khui chi̍t-tǹg ngó͘-chhan lâi khèng-chiok i ê sí. Lēng-gōa iáu ū chi̍t-ūi Eng-hoa-chhoan ê Ki-tok-tô͘ kiò-chò Pai-lân ê, iā hō͘ in kiò khì. In chiū chiong chi̍t tiuⁿ miâ toaⁿ hō͘ i, miâ-toaⁿ-ni̍h ū khiā gō͘ ê lâng-miâ, i tio̍h chhōa hit gō͘ ê lâng khì hù khèng-chiok-hōe. Ūi-tio̍h hiah ê lâng-miâ lóng sī Ki-tok-tô͘ ê miâ, Pai-lân chiū tī sim-lāi siūⁿ kóng, Káⁿ-sī ū sím-mi̍h só͘-chāi teh bô tú-hó, Ki-tok-tô͘ lóng-chóng teh-beh khì siū kéng-chhat sím-mn̄g lah! In iáu-bōe khì hù-hōe ê tāi-seng, i chiū tiàu-chi̍p in lâi tī i ê chhù-ni̍h, bián-lē in tio̍h khiā-chāi, nā èng-kai sí, chiū sí; m̄-thang pàng-sak hok-im. Tng i teh bián-lē in ê sî-chūn, ū chi̍t ê kéng-chhat ji̍p-lâi, hī-hong-á ū thiaⁿ-tio̍h i só͘ kóng ê bóe kù, chiū khòng-kò in, kóng in sī teh kā Lô Chóng-thóng khui tui-tō-hōe; Ki-tok-tô͘ hó͘-jīn, kóng bô iáⁿ, nā-sī kéng-chhat m̄-sìn. Úi-lân接續koh tī山間ê所在開祕密ê聚會。1945年4月有一日,伊受召去警察所,警察kā伊講,羅斯福總統已經死,in想beh相kap開一頓午餐來慶祝伊ê 死。另外iáu有一位櫻花村ê基督徒叫做Pai-lân --ê,也hō͘ in叫去。In就將一張名單hō͘伊,名單--ni̍h有企5個人名,伊著chhōa hit 5五個人去赴慶祝會。為著hiah ê人名攏是基督徒ê名,Pai-lân就tī心內想講:「Káⁿ是有甚mi̍h所在teh無tú好,基督徒攏總teh-beh去受警察審問--lah!」In iáu-bōe去赴會ê代先,伊就召集in來tī伊ê 厝--ni̍h,勉勵in著企在,若應該死,就死;m̄-thang 放sak 福音。當伊teh勉勵in ê時陣,有一個警察入來,耳風仔有聽著伊所講ê尾句,就控告in,講in是teh kā羅總統開追悼會;基督徒否認,講無影,但是警察m̄信。
Chit-tia̍p í-āu chiàn-cheng ê kio̍k-sè chāi Ji̍t-pún ê li̍p-tiûⁿ lâi kóng, sī ke̍k-kî àm-tām ê. Chāi Tâi-oân ê tong-kio̍k-chiá ū kàu-gia̍h teh ū-sióng liân-ha̍p-kun chiūⁿ-lio̍k ê sū. Ta̍k só͘-chāi ê kéng-chhat chū-jiân ū siū-tio̍h bēng-lēng, kah in tio̍h ka-kiông kàm-sī lóng-chóng ū khó-lêng-sèng thang chò “tē-gō͘ chhiòng-tūi ê lâng.” Só͘ ū ê Ki-tok-tô͘ put-lūn sī hàn-cho̍k ê, á-sī ko-san-cho̍k ê, lóng siū pau-hâm tī chit lūi ê lāi-bīn. Chāi Eng-hoa chhoan ê só͘-chāi bô koh-iūⁿ pa̍t-ūi, kéng-chhat ū ka-kín lâi teh koán-sok in. Ki-tok-tô͘ ê tiong-kan ū kúi-nā lâng ēng hoat-tō͘ koh tit-tio̍h Sèng-keng. Kéng-chhat ū iau-kiû chiah ê chheng-liân tio̍h pàng-sak Sèng-keng kap si-chheh, iā sòa pàng-sak sìn-gióng; nā-sī in kā i kū-choa̍t. Kéng-chhat ūi-tio̍h ài chai-iáⁿ chāi chng-ni̍h sím-mi̍h lâng khak-si̍t sī Ki-tok-tô͘, chiū khai-sí chi̍t hôe chin thiat-té ê hō͘-kháu tiau-cha. In múi mê-hng kiám-cha chi̍t hō͘, chiong in ê ka-cho̍k sûi-ê sûi-ê kiò chhut-lâi mn̄g, chòe-āu chiah chhiau in ê chhù. Ki-tok-tô͘ keng-kòe chitch8am ê tōa chhì-liān. In ū chèng-sek khui kî-tó-hōe lâi ka-kī kian-kò͘. In kî-tó kóng, Ǹg-bāng in ōe thang tùi Ki-tok chīn-tiong, chhî-siú tō-lí kàu sí. 這tia̍p以後戰爭ê局勢在日本ê立場來講,是極其黯淡--ê。在台灣ê當局者有夠額teh預想聯合軍上陸ê事。逐所在ê警察自然有受著命令,教in著加強監視攏總有可能性thang做「第五縱隊ê人。」所有ê基督徒不論是漢族--ê,抑是高山族--ê,攏受包含tī 這類ê內面。在櫻花村ê所在無各樣別位,警察有加緊來teh管束in。基督徒ê中間有幾若人用法度koh得著聖經。警察有要求chiah ê青年著放sak 聖經kap詩冊,也續放sak 信仰;但是in kā伊拒絕。警察為著ài知影在庄--ni̍h甚mi̍h人確實是基督徒,就開始一回真徹底ê戶口調查。In每暝昏檢查一戶,將in ê家族隨個隨個叫出來問,最後才chhiau in ê厝。基督徒經過一站ê大試鍊。In有正式開祈禱會來家己堅固。In祈禱講:「向望in會thang對基督盡忠,持守道理到死。」
Ji̍t-pún tâu-hâng ê sî, tāi-ke chin hoaⁿ-hí. Hiah ê Ki-tok-tô͘ chiū chek-sî kong-khai lâi chū-hōe, ia̍h kè-e̍k beh khí pài-tn̂g. In bô lia̍h khí ka-kī ê kàu-hōe chò boán-chiok. Taⁿ í-keng bô kéng-chhat ê kìm-lēng thang chó͘-tòng in, in taⁿ ōe thang chiong hok-im piàn thoân tī ko-san-cho̍k ê choân tē-kài. In taⁿ ōe thang chū-iû sì-kòe kiâⁿ-iû, put-lūn kàu sím-mi̍h só͘-chāi ē thang ūi Ki-tok chòe kiàn-chèng. 1946 nî chiaⁿ-ge̍h, ū chi̍t thoân Eng-hoa siā ê Ki-tok-tô͘ siū Úi-lân ê léng-tō, tī saⁿ lī kúi-nā Eng-lí hn̄g ê chi̍t ê A-mi-cho̍k ê hiuⁿ-siā-ni̍h khui pò͘-tō-hōe. Kàu káu-ge̍h ê sî, ū tit-tio̍h chiah ê A-mi-cho̍k chin-chōe lâng lâi kui Ki-tok, in sī kàu-gia̍h ū khùi-la̍t thang ūi in pún-sin khí pài-tn̂g. Hit keng kàu-hōe sī to̍k-it bû jī ê; chiū-sī tùi hiah ê m̄-bat A-mi ōe ê gōa-cho̍k (Thài-iâ-cho̍k) ê kang-lâng ê ló͘-le̍k lâi kiat-chiâⁿ ê. In m̄-bat A-mi ōe, só͘-í beh thoân tō-lí hō͘ in tio̍h ēng Ji̍t-gú. Put-tàn án-ni, chiah ê thoân tō-lí hō͘ A-mi-cho̍k ê Thài-iâ-cho̍k ia̍h ū ūi-tio̍h in pún-sin khí pài-tn̂g, che sī chi̍t nî chêng ê sū nā-tiāⁿ. In bô siū siat-li̍p ê bo̍k-su á-sī siū kòe hùn-liān ê léng-tō-chiá. In liân chi̍t ê siū siat-li̍p ê tiúⁿ-ló ia̍h iáu-bōe ū, chóng-sī in ū oa̍h-oa̍h ê sìn-gióng kap thoân-tō cheng-sîn. In ê kàu-hōe sī tng teh siū hoán-tùi kap pek-hāi ê sî kiàn-siat ê. In ê hōe-iú tōa-to-sò͘ ū tùi iām-iām ê hé-lô͘ keng-kè, chóng-sī bô tāi-chì. 日本投降ê 時,逐家真歡喜。Hiah ê基督徒就即時公開來聚會,亦計劃beh起拜堂。In無掠起家己ê教會做滿足。今已經無警察ê禁令thang阻擋--in,in今會thang將福音遍傳tī高山族ê全地界。In今會thang自由四界行遊,不論到甚mi̍h所在會thang為基督做見證。1946年正--月,有一團櫻花社ê基督徒受Úi-lân ê領導,tī 相離幾若英里遠ê一個阿美族ê鄉社--ni̍h開佈道會。到九月ê 時,有得著chiah ê 阿美族真濟人來歸基督,in是夠額有氣力thang為in本身起拜堂。Hit間教會是獨一無二--ê;就是tùi hiah ê m̄-bat 阿美話ê外族(泰雅族)ê工人ê努力來結成--ê。In m̄-bat 阿美話,所以beh傳道理hō͘ in著用日語。不但án-ni,chiah ê傳道理hō͘ 阿美族ê 泰雅族亦有為著in本身起拜堂,che是一年前ê事nā-tiāⁿ。In無受設立ê牧師抑是受過訓練ê領導者。In連一個受設立長老亦iáu-bōe有,總--是in有活活ê信仰kap傳道精神。In ê教會是當teh受反對kap迫害ê 時建設--ê。In ê會友大多數有對炎炎ê火爐經過。總--是無代誌。
Keng-kè hit ê kú-kú ê hoān-lān, khîⁿ-tiâu tī Chú, bô sî bô khek ēng sîn-lêng ê ùi-an teh kó͘-bú i ê tâng-cho̍k ê, chiū-sī hit ūi ū sìn-sim ê Úi-lân. I ūi-tio̍h chin-lí chò kiàn-chèng bô siūⁿ siān. Siū kòng, siū phah, sīm-chì ūi-tio̍h Ki-tok ê iân-kò͘, cheng-sîn khí īⁿ-chōng. I m̄-goān tī chân-jím bô tàng sǹg-khí ê Ji̍t-pún ê hoat-lu̍t ē lâi khut-ho̍k lâng. I sī chi̍t ūi phok-sò͘, láu-si̍t, kiaⁿ-ùi Siōng-tè ê pêng-siông lâng. I kóng-ōe sêng-si̍t, hêng-ûi toan-chong, m̄-goān khut-ho̍k tī jīm-hô ōe pāi-hoāi ê lâng ê bīn-chêng; in-ūi i siong-sìn chí ū “Iâ-so͘ ê miâ bān kha-thâu-u tio̍h kūi-pài.” Úi-lân kin-á-ji̍t iáu sī kau-hōe ê tòng-liông, chāi Tâi-oân chiah ê pêng-bîn ê thoân-kàu-chiá ê tiong-kan, i sǹg sī chò iú-le̍k ê chi̍t ê. 經過hit ê久久ê患難,擒tiâu tī主,無時無刻用神靈ê慰安teh鼓舞伊ê 同族--ê,就是hit位有信心ê Úi-lân。伊為著真理做見證無想siān。受摃、受扑,甚至為著基督ê緣故,精神起異狀。伊 m̄ 願tī殘忍無tàng算起ê日本ê法律下來屈服--人。伊是一位樸素、老實、驚畏上帝ê平常人。伊講話誠實,行為端正,m̄ 願屈服tī任何會敗壞ê人ê面前;因為伊相信只有「耶穌ê名萬腳頭 u 著跪拜。」Úi-lân今仔日iáu是教會ê棟樑,在台灣chiah ê平民ê傳教者ê中間,伊算是最有力ê一個。
Chiàn-cheng āu ê chìn-pō͘ 戰爭後ê進步
Chit ê hō͘ lâng gông-ngia̍h ê kò͘-sū, chiū-sī tī chiàn-cheng tiong chāi ko-san-cho̍k ê tiong-kan, chit ê ūn-tōng án-chóaⁿ hoat-tián, tāi-chì tùi Sun Sian-siⁿ tńg-lâi í-āu, ū chiām-chiām tit-tio̍h bêng-liâu. In-ūi i ū tùi ko-san-cho̍k pún-sin so͘-chi̍p siau-sit. Koan-hē sìn-tô͘ cháiⁿ-iūⁿ ióng-kám jím-siū chân-jím ê pek-hāi, chit hāng í-gōa, iáu ū chōe-chōe si̍t-lē thang kì. Chóng-sī lán ê bo̍k-tek tī-chia m̄-sī beh chiong chân-jím ê hêng-hoa̍t kóng hō͘ i chin siông-sè, tì-kàu hō͘ thiaⁿ ê lâng lún bōe tiâu, siūⁿ beh thò͘ ; in-ūi nā lūn kàu chân-jím ê hêng-hoa̍t, Ji̍t-pún kéng-chhat sǹg sī miâ-siaⁿ thàu kiaⁿ-siâⁿ--ê. Chit chióng ok-mô͘-sèng ê chhiú-gē, tī ‘chiàn-sî kì-lio̍k’ tiong koan-hē ‘chi̍p-tiong-iâⁿ ê chōng-hóng,’ hit phiⁿ í-keng kóng-khí liáu, sio-siāng khoán ê hong-hoat, tī Tâi-oân ū ēng kòe. Lán ê bo̍k-tek, bo̍k-hui sī beh pò lâng chai Siōng-tè ê Sîn ū chìn-ji̍p tī soan-kàu-su só͘ bōe-tit-thang chiap-kūn ê tōe-hng, iā Sèng-keng ê ōe, in só͘ bat sui-jiân sī chi̍t pō͘-hūn nā-tiāⁿ, iáu-kú ōe-tit-thang tit-tio̍h in lâi hoan-gêng chòe sī Siōng-tè ê ōe; iū-koh oa̍h-oa̍h ê Ki-tok tī tōa hoān-lān tiong ōe-thang hō͘ hiah ê lâng lâi ūi I chò kiàn-chèng, sīm-chì tek-sèng kàu ū chhun, téng-téng. 這個hō͘人gông-ngia̍h ê故事,就是tī 戰爭中在高山族ê中間,這個運動án-chóaⁿ 發展,代誌對孫先生轉來以後,有漸漸得著明瞭。因為伊有對高山族本身搜集消息。關係信徒怎樣勇敢忍受殘忍ê迫害,這項以外,iáu有濟濟實例thang記。總--是咱ê 目的tī-chia m̄是beh將殘忍ê刑罰講hō͘ 伊真詳細,致到hō͘ 聽ê人忍bōe tiâu,想beh吐;因為若論到殘忍ê刑罰,日本警察算是名聲透京城--ê。這種惡魔性ê手藝,tī「戰時記錄」中關係「集中營ê狀況」,hit 篇已經講起了,相像款ê方法,tī 台灣有用--過。咱ê 目的,莫非是beh報人知上帝ê神有進入tī 宣教師所bōe-tit-thang接近ê地方,也聖經ê話,in所bat雖然是一部份nā-tiāⁿ,iáu-kú會得thang得著in來歡迎做是上帝ê話;又koh活活ê基督tī大患難中會thang hō͘ hiah ê人來為伊做見證,甚至得勝到有chhun,等等。
Goán taⁿ beh lâi oa̍t hong-hiòng, chiū-sī beh lâi kóng-khí chū chiah-ê ko-san-cho̍k thoat-lī sok-pa̍k, ji̍p tī chū-iû í-lâi, só͘ chō-chiū ê chìn-pō͘. Kàu-hōe tong-kio̍k ū chīn liáu chōe-chōe ê ló͘-le̍k, beh lâi èng-hù in hiah-ni̍h chōe ê lâng; in hia̍h ê lâng tùi sìn-gióng-siōng ê chai-bat kap si̍t-hêng ū kiàn-li̍p ê pit-iàu tī-teh. 阮今beh來越方向,就是beh來講起自chiah ê高山族脫離束縛,入tī自由以來,所造就ê進步。教會當局有盡了濟濟ê努力,beh來應付in hiah-n̍i̍h濟ê人;in hiah ê人tùi信仰上ê知bat kap實行有建立ê必要tī--teh。
